I was going to get bounced in the first round of the playoffs, that is if I was to even make them (not guarenteed there)!! and my team had no real up and comers in my minors minus perhaps Jim O'brien, David Savard and rhett rhakshani (whom I both picked up myself). So how was I going to go about improving my team in the future? EVERY one of my top prospects were traded before I even got here as well as a good chunk of my picks.

The trade obviously doesn't help me as much this season as it will in seasons to come, but it's something that I wanted to do and think benefits me for future seasons.
