To his roster the combination of Sharp + Purcell >> Spezza

on a contending team: Spezza > than that package IMO


value this year is so up in flux because of the cap and injuries. Value is no longer based on : Player x is worth XX, it's that player X is worth X or XX to me (depending on cap availble and injuries)

Whether it is today, a month from now, or a year from now, Paull will trade for a #1C eventually or try to anyways. At that point it will become clear that Sharp + Purcell is so cheap for Spezza that any team receiving that offer should take it.

I agree, and the beauty with #1 centers is that there is always a market for them. If Paul decides that he needs the depth more in a month or two he could probably trade Spezza for a surplus.

but Paul would be high and flip Spezza for like Legwand + Daple - and thus screw things up more for himself.

and i'm not trolling...the less top end pieces paul has, the better off he is IMO. Paul will only be successful if he builds like tony - through peripherial monsters.

That said, he's a dangerous person when he has a star on his roster. He's like fat women addicted to food, only Pauls a skinny Asian addicted to trading.
