Wasn't that talk about how Johnson is rare, being so talented on his off side? Something the Kings valued. I can't look at the talent of that team, and think they lack scoring because of lack of goal scoring talent, its their coaching style.

What they don't have are forwards capable of scoring in such a higher defensive system, or arranged in lines that are able to do so. PHX & NSH play a tighter zone D then LAK, especially in regards to bodies between pucks and goal, but I guess they open up in the offensive zone allowing for players to read the situation and jump into a scoring chance.

Adding Nash might actually help them, his ability to produce completely by himself is vary safe defensively...However his totals all cramped down would suck for me, going into an attack system a la toronto sure would suit me (X2).

Nash and Richards would be good together, Richards is elite defensively and doesn't cheat whereas Nash (at his best) likes to hang around the blue-line to generate the quick counter attack. They would compliment each other nicely, especially in the offensive zone where they both excel in puck pursuit and cycling in the corners.

Kind of...It was more with regards to his offensive production. Defenceman who play their off side tend to produce at a lower rate offensively, Jack Johnson is one of the few exceptions, he can contribute offensively on either side.

Lecavailer out indefinitely upper body injury.

Caps prospect Kuznetsov openly said he'd stay in Russia if offered a 10 year deal there (ProSport).

Isles offering Evgeni Nabokov choice of 1 or 2-year contract, hope to sign him for 2.

I'm glad I traded the Isles system after hearing that Nabokov wants to re-sign with the Islanders. Insane.
