As for lastly (can't believe I'm debating this): sure, you can debate (as many who enjoy butchering the English language do) that it is acceptable.
Those idiots at Merriam Websters! Next time I'll be sure to pickup your copy of the english dictionary.

That's a key guy for me to get signed...I've been waiting all offseason to find out where he'd go. The last major free agent I have on my team is Theodore.

Well maybe not so great
Wow they have a lot of top end goalie talent. Desjardins was also one of the top goalies in the AHL so you never know.

It's only a 1 year deal. He'll probably be back next year like Salak.

wanted to stay west, no to chicago, no to toronto (despite saying yes), and then signs where he is buried.
big and fast is rarely a problem.

Huet playing in Switzerland next year:

Ouch. Does this open the room? Yes. But do they still want Niemi?
If so, I traded Turco at exactly the right time

Dude if I am not mistaken they were still over the cap by quite a bit, they made their choice by signing turco and saying they have crawford and toivenen they are not gonna use whatever cap this may have saved to sign another goalie.

Yeah, getting rid of Huet's contract had to happen because according to CapGeek, they were still around $4.2 million over the cap. Huet's $5.6 million will be "loaned" out for a year. The Hawks will finally be back on the good side of the cap. They'll have 12 forwards, 7 defenseman and 2 goalies (Turco and Crawford) under contract with the $1.4 million or so under the cap to fit any other players like Kyle Beach. Beach's hit is $1.17 million so he'd fit under the cap to give them 13 forwards.
http://www.capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=11
The question is, what do they do with Huet after this year since the loan is for just one season. Do they bring him back in 2011-12 when they have some cap room or if Turco plays well, do they re-sign him?

The Thrashers re-signed restricted free agent Bryan Little to a three-year contract worth $7.15 million on Monday. The deal will pay Little $1.65 million this season, $2.5 million in 2011-12 and $3 million in 2012-13.
I believe that's a cap hit of $2,383,333
kinda price but likely worth it over 3 years.

Interesting comment from Bobby, “I’ll figure something out before I get to a holdout [scenario],” he said. “But if NHL teams are starting camps, I’ll be on the ice somewhere. Hopefully here.”
“If it comes to a situation where there’s heads butting, then I guess it would be best. But I am not looking for a trade. I have no intentions of being traded. I love it here and want to remain a Duck.”
and I have to say, Komi is pure gold :

Nice....benches clear tonight at the Jays/Yanks game! Love it!!!
Oh, and Aaron Ward officially announced his retirement. He will make a good analyst.

Patric Hornqvist signed a new three-year contract worth $9.25 million with the Nashville Predators, GM David Poile announced Tuesday.
For those that suck at math, thats a cap hit of 3.083
