Blackhawks want stability in goal and the Knights need cap room...mutually beneficial move here.

The Knights can stop jerking Fleury and Lehner around and stick with someone and find a cheaper #2. It's a move long overdue...in spite of how good Fleury has been for them.

With the addition of Jones on defense, Fleury in goal and the return of Toews...the Blackhawks are once again a factor in the Central Division.

As a canucks fan, I can live with it. Hopefully his stats weren't boosted too much by icetime he received in the desert that he won't get in other places.

He should live up to that contract, but a little more than I expected. $ is being thrown around this offseason, seems like the addition of 81.5M more cap league wide has opened up some wallets. I can't believe how much Ovechkin just got for his twilight years.

I mean father time is undefeated, he'll be 36 by the time this 5 year contract starts... chances aren't great. I think he needs an average of 33 goals a year into his 40s, could be a tough ask
