Lots of high cap guys exposed. Guess teams betting on Seattle not wanting to be bogged down with too much money.

Some, if not most of those GMs will be right. But my guess is Seattle will grab 2 or 3 high salary guys, the ones that have the most upside. I'd say my top two would be Price and Tarasenko. They were likely taking Allen from Montreal anyway, why not grab Price, a solid back up and 2 young goalies. And if they can convince Landeskog to come over with Tarasenko and maybe a center and fill out your roster with well priced contracts and pick extra dmen you can flip to teams that are desperate (Winnipeg is likely going to need 2 dmen after they lose DeMelo in the draft)

It’s a terrible contract that MTL would be lucky to get out of, I just can’t believe they are admitting it and asked him to waive.

Or maybe price wants to be closer to home and they are helping him out too?

Except Price can do for Seattle what Fleury did for Vegas. I wouldn't be shocked if they took him. I did a quick mock today with the leagues protection lists and got a decent team. Although my team had 17 mil in goalies (Price and murray), but the team came about 5 mil under the cap with Tarasenko, Johansen, Landeskog (would need to sign, you never know) some solid vets on defense, some of which I expect will be moved shortly after expansion and a bevy if young players at all positions.

I think Price would be great in Seattle. I bet you he's indifferent re: MTL. The fans and media in most Canadian cities are assholes... so they prestige of MTL vs a fun challenge in Seattle when he is way closer to home... toss up.

But did you see the report he's seeing a specialist in New York for hip/knee issues?

Totally feel the BurgerVan is playing a game with Weber and Price.

Its because hes owed $21M this year. $10.5M salary and a 11M signing bonus. Theyre banking on Seattle not wanting to pay that. Also Price's wife posted on instagram theres more behind the scenes and itll make sense soon.
