Colborne with the call-up! Hopefully NaZem gets the call soon too.

Serious injury bug ATM.

Komisarek will require surgery out 8 weeks. Macarthur won't play sunday is day to day. Reimer skated again still a week away at best. Armstrong 3-6 weeks away. Lombardi out 3-4 weeks. Grabo out 3 weeks. Brown out of todays game is day to day.

So were missing about a third of our team.

Colborne gets the call today, and will play with Crabb. I think they say Holzer or Aulie gets a call once this game is done. Probably Holzer as Aulie has 0 pts and is a -9.

Nazem Kadri is clearly on the outs with the Toronto Maple Leafs, there is no other explanation for him not getting the call alongside Joe Colborne today, our lineup would look immeasurably better with him.

Not with Komisarek, Grabo, and Lombardi eligible for IR. There is also the option of demoting one of Orr/Rosehill who have barely played to begin with. This team is severely lacking talented players outside the top line, Kadri is easily the most talented outside that group, and is more proven than Colborne and Frattin, and superior to Crabb, does it not strike you as odd that he is still in the AHL despite all of this?

I think he incorrectly started with an NHL spot due to his injury and failed to keep it; I think treated fairly in regards to the others, Frattin is capable and looks completely out of place in the AHL, Crabb earned his spot with topend-AHL play and Joe has done more in the AHL then Nazem - sucks for him, but organizational fairness surpasses his individual wants.

Komi not placed on IR until today -> Aulie/Holzer expected to be called up after tonights game.
Orr/Rosie are not waiver exempt? + Taboo to throw tough guys under the bus.
IMO Nazem needs to make it top6 or stay AHL, similar to how B.Ryan was brought in I'd imagine.

Nazem Kadri was one of the Leafs best players in training camp, and was all but assured a spot before a minor injury held him out of the lineup for the final week of training camp, and first two weeks of the regular season. Kadri was then given a quick 3 game tryout in which he scored 1 point (the same as Frattin, but in 19 games). Despite this, Kadri has yet to get the call up since despite strong AHL production (near ppg), over a half season of dominance in the AHL last season, and crippling injuries to the second and third lines of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

You claim Frattin looks completely out of place in the AHL (meaningless sample size), but ignore the fact that he has looked completely out of place in the NHL (meaningful sample size). Not to mention that Kadri has looked stronger, and for longer across both levels, at a younger age to boot. I won't even dispute Joey Crabb because that is a horrible, horrible argument on your part. Crabb earned the call up initially because he deserved it, but Crabb is a career bottom 6 nhl'er, and that is being polite. At the end of the day the objective is to win games, and neither Crabb or Orr/Rosehill are contributing to that objective, certainly not to the extent that Kadri could in lite of the Maple Leafs injury woes.

Thankfully, I am convinced that Nazem Kadri is not getting the shaft because of the aforementioned players, I suspect the Leafs are unhappy with Kadri's compete level, and are attempting to light a fire under him by calling up those around him.

Wilson wants Kadri to pass the puck more and play better defensively, till he does so doesn't appear like he'll get the call. Holzer likely gets the call when Komi goes on IR. Sitting Orr and Rosehill every game is kinda biting us in the ass now. Orr will play tonight though with Brown out still.

The more I watch Smith's abortion of a empty-netter attempt, the more I think it was done on purpose; if so, I'm a huge Craig Smith fan.

Colborne earned the call-up more than Kadri.

Plain and simple.

Apparently Nail Yakupov missed the game against Saginaw tonight because he took a head check in the previous game. He finished that game and looked fine but he was held out for precautionary reasons. Hopefully it's not a concussion.

Crosby to return tomorrow night! Good for the league and most importantly, good for Bryan.
