Lol so the coyotes get fined for researching too much and cheating draft the sociopath and a month later renounce the rights. What a joke of a franchise.
Move them to Quebec already

Is there any wonder why Hall didn't want to stay? You can blame Chayka for the lost picks but this pick was their first pick in this draft with the new regime. Granted, a 4th rounder but still, it's like they forfeited another pick.
Makes me want to re-read this year's draft guides and see if any of the books questioned his character.

Can ND rescind their invite? They are probably the next place to get pressured to drop him.

That's too bad. You would think a place of higher learning would work to educate him, rather than be swayed by public outcry...unless he does something shitty while he was actually at the University.

He didn't get kicked out of school though. He is free to learn and become a citizen of the world, just not play hockey.

Likely was there on an athletic scholarship, so basically kicked out.

Hmmm... Good point. Guess another school will have that honour.

Not certain you can rescind the scholarship. There are strict rules around that and I am not sure if an issue in the past which they knew about qualifies as sufficient to revoke it. Off the team does not necessarily mean his scholarship is gone.
Someone who knows more about NCAA may know the rules, I just know it's not as easy as just taking it away.
Edit: This article says it will be "honoured' so I guess it could have been taken away if it's being honoured.

He’s had how many years to show some remorse and not given a fuck?? Fuck Mitch Miller. He doesn’t deserve the privilege of playing NA hockey
His life will be fine. He can go work a regular 9-5 like the rest of us. Actions have consequences, especially when you want to be someone in the public eye.
Fuck...he’s such a despicable piece of shit

I'm not saying the world owes Miller anything at all. What he did was dispicable and repulsive, but we are talking about something a 14 year old kid did. 14! How many of you guys can stand the test of time with someone going through your life as a 14 year old kid with a fine tooth comb? Miller is not a victim. The only victim in this case is the disabled kid that Miller and his buddy bullied, but at the same time the school and the hockey world have failed them both. It clearly didn't matter to the hockey world until everything became public. They are turned a blind eye to what he did because he helped them win hockey games. Then they just threw him away like yesterday's trash and distanced themselves from Miller the moment everything became public like they didn't know. They all knew, but it didn't matter until it reached a point that any of them would be inconvenienced for having to answer questions on why he wasn't disciplined. There was an opportunity here to help Miller to grow from an ignorant child that clearly doesn't understand why what he did was wrong and instead it was condoned at every turn until now. It's a total failure of human decency on all fronts.

Mitchell Miller is a piece of shit. He was convicted in the juvenile court, and continued to bully this kid thereafter. He didn't learn his lesson. He didn't apologize to the kid, ever.
If he wants a second chance to change who he is as a person, it's being denied this chance to play in the NHL and continue playing hockey at UND that may wake him up because clearly nothing else has made a lick of a difference to this kid.
If you can do something as heinous as this, and continue to get what you want, you're never going to learn.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I didn't notice it. It's important to note that the other guy who bullied the kid with Miller did apologise and make ammends and the kid's family has forgiven him and they're actually friends now. Miller made no effort to do the same.
There's a path to redemption there, it's been there for 4 years. Miller chose not to take it.
