I very much doubt that. Eichel runs the show there.

The NHL isn't a players' league like the NBA but if you're paying your captain $10 million, he's going to have some influence on his linemates. Kruger is supposedly a players' coach and I have to believe Hall is fond of him enough to choose them over more desirable locations.

Blues would have paid that... all depends on salary structure and clauses.

7 years is too long but I get it to get the first 4 years. He may well age like Weber or gio but lots of end of deal risk there.

He doesn't depend on his speed much, so think he will age fine.
