Crazy thing is he can sit out this year and next and he's still got 3 years left on his deal.

I didn't see the highlights of the game last night...Guentzel crashed into the boards and now he's out 4-6 months.

I've been bored by the recent Winter Classic games...this one today feels fresh and unique with it in Texas and two non-traditional markets. It's the only way to keep that game interesting is if they pick some unique venues and feature different teams.

Not as warm in Dallas as you'd think...only mid-50s down there. It's funny with the deep south that whenever bad winter weather hits, those guys don't know what to do. They'll bundle up for weather like this and they basically shut down if they get snow or ice.

I went to my sister's wedding in November in San Antonio. There was a rainy day in the 50s. I'm walking around in shorts and everyone else is in warm coats.

I didn't think that game was going to be bad but I'd call that Winter Classic a pleasant surprise. Not many are memorable but this one had it's own personality and it was actually an entertaining game.

The Canadiens have signed Ilya Kovalchuk.
