Way less than that. It was probably more like 4k.

His base salary is $750,000 and they get paid for each day they are on the NHL roster, not per game. I believe there is something like 180 days in the NHL calendar, so if he was called up Tuesday, 750,000/180 is $4166 for each day he's with the team.

I don't know the exact number of days in the NHL calendar but it is something in the 180-200 range.

Anyway, not like it's not a decent amount but 4k to go get shelled can be pretty discouraging.
