It's starting to sound more and more like Vegas is happy to just take mostly junk from teams in the short term to build up their prospect pool. Makes sense, there's no point building a team that's kind of competitive for a couple of years then has to go into a full rebuild.

I'm not sure, I think they will take a few good deals (like the Grabo one) and then draft the best players they can. Pick 14 + 77 is worth more than Calvin De Hann.

Yeah realistically they can probably do a bit of both with the kind of options they have, gather up picks and still put a reasonably competitive team on the ice that won't finish that close to the bottom

I think so, I think Vegas will be 'some-what' competitive this season. Maybe comparable to the Isles without a player like JT.

If grabo looks like he might play it could turn out better. He still hopes to, so maybe?
