McKegg is dressing in tonights game and why would they send Ryan down in the first round of cuts.

Because the initial impression from Wilson was that Ryan would get in a preseason game and then be sent down. Regarding McKegg, I was under the impression that other people thought the same thing - he's a long way away.

Ryan will be playing for the marlies this season likely a reason why he was kept around.

Hes 20 years old, he'll be playing in the American Hockey League.
