I agree if it's meant for them to play in a top 4 role.
Signing them as 5/6 depth guys to round out your defence on cheap contracts is not a step back from Marincin Hunwick Polak.

But they probably have prospects as good as girardi is now that could fill the role, and if u get lucky could prove themselves beyond. No point using a contract on girardi. He sucks.
