Maybe like 2 years ago. I'll identify you if I could remember who you are, you should trade / post more often.

Yakupov has no plans to return to KHL

Nail Yakupov plans to sign his next contract in the NHL.
The 23-year-old winger told Fox Sports' Andy Strickland on Thursday he has no plans of returning to Russia to play in the KHL.

Russian hockey officials announced Thursday that Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin played through injury before Washington was eliminated from the NHL playoffs in the second round by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Ovechkin finished the playoffs dealing with a lower-body injury that required pain-numbing injections

As suspected..

Its so funny that the Russian's have to take it upon themselves to announce this. Not Ovi, Not the Caps, but the Russians who feel like they must protect everything they own lol.

If anyone has listened to fan590 this afternoon theyd know how much of a lame excuse this is seeing as Crosby came back after one game out with a concussion. 0 pts out of backstrom kuznetsov ovi and oshie on their most important game of their series is no way acceptable regardless of how u slice it

i know they are professionals.. they played through injury.. every injury is different..
i jus had surgery last month.. had i not done the surgery my whole leg is in severe pain and total numbness.. i can't feel my leg.. after surgery.. of coz it takes time to heal and i can't really move around that much and mainly train my muscles back through physical therapy..
having that in mind.. i think pain and numbness injection only take that part of the pain away some what.. but OV relies on his shot.. any kind of numbness definitely affect it a lot.. you can notice he passes up a lot of his usual 1 timers and even if he shoots he takes wristers a lot more often.. numbness would just take his power away even he does it at his best..
i respect him as a professional and playing through pain.. im certain some ppl may have just been on IR instead.. and i wish him the best to rebound next season and have a complete recovery

Former Michigan Wolverine, very solid college player but had a brief NHL career. I've heard his name for a while as a guy who will be a GM some day.
