Kovalchuk to Vegas would be something... Rumours is that NJ would likely only be looking for a 3rd round pick or so. Bobby Mac figures that, and 3 year, 6.5-7mil per season. All things Vegas can easily do and he can play with his buddy Shipaychev.

Kovalchuk to Detroit...I like but don't love the idea. He'd help in the goal scoring department and I'm sure they don't want to go multiple years of missing the playoffs. I'd rather continue with the youth movement and pass on any mercenary free agents. But having a new star featured at the new arena would be tempting.
