It's worked out well for Malkin playing 2nd fiddle to Crosby for a decade. Duchene would get the easier lines to face on a nightly basis. Of course it all means very little if they don't surround Tavares and Duchene with the right players.Lee wroteCOLONdon't like the idea of duche going to play second fiddle to Tavares but what else is new with this train wreck of a season
Right.. JT doesn't even get a good player to play with.. esp with what it will take to get Duchene...CasperX22 wroteCOLONIt's worked out well for Malkin playing 2nd fiddle to Crosby for a decade. I'm not Hamonic's biggest fan but I think most would consider him a #2 and he's signed for another 3.5 years at under 4 mil.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONDo the isles have a top 2 dman locked up longterm? i guess that's the starting point.
Lee and Bailey are perfectly fine as JT's wingers. Bailey this season seems like a good bet to at least break 50 points, and Lee will likely break 30 goals.hong57 wroteCOLONRight.. gosh, that's pricy for Duchene.timwebb1212 wroteCOLONI'm not Hamonic's biggest fan but I think most would consider him a #2 and he's signed for another 3.5 years at under 4 mil.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONDo the isles have a top 2 dman locked up longterm? i guess that's the starting point.
Reportedly the ask was Hamonic + Barzal + 1st I think, which is a price I wouldn't pay. I'd do Hamonic + MDC/JHS/Bellows + 1st though if Colorado would.
Honestly, as much I think it makes sense for NYI to acquire Duchene, I don't think it makes sense for COL to trade him to NYI. They really probably are looking for young defensemen with elite upside. Hamonic might be too old for them, and Pulock is good but not exceptional and is a RHD where they are much more solid.
Why is he not up? he's a stud when healthyHandsome&FairMike wroteCOLONTearing it up in the AHL. Waiting for him to get called up and played instead of mayfield/pelech
TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed 19-year-old rookie Mitch Marner on injured reserve and recalled centre Frederik Gauthier from the AHL's Toronto Marlies.
