doubt Kovy and Parise even play on the same line.
Possibly. Definitely together on PP1 though.

bah, he's not ready for consistent offensive production from what I saw.

All this really did was slow down NJD for a while.

I hate that Kovy plays the same side on the pp as Larsson, it's going to hurt his offensive production.

I alot of people have been saying that, and I feel like those people haven't actually watched Larsson play...He broke the rookie scoring record for a defenceman at the age of 16, was an offensive stalwart in the WJC, and WC, and yet is classified as a defensive defenceman, I think it is just as outrageous as when people defined Victor Hedman as a defensive first defenceman.

Larsson will crack 30 points Kareem. Don't worry.

Ya ideally Jersey plays Kovalchuk and Parise on separate lines. Each is best on the LW. I really liked the Parise - Zajac - Zubrus line. Haven't watched Jersey enough to notice who exactly works well with Kovalchuk.

Larsson? Guy seems to have all the tools to be an offensive defenseman in the NHL, and by offensive defenseman I mean an around 40-point guy. However, due to his all-around talent, he'll definitely receive such significant responsibility even early in his career now that his production should take a while to hit that mark.

Hedman? I could see him hit 40 points just due to his overall talent level, but I've yet to see anything from him that would suggest he'll be a primary offensive defenseman in this league. He's much too slow laterally along the point to quarterback a powerplay effectively at this point, and it seems he lacks a high-level of vision. I think it's all physical for him at this point. The mothafucka is 6'6". He's yet to maximize his foot-speed, and still needs to continue to add strength to his massive frame. Once he does, he should be a real good 5-on-5 producer, just through his ability to disarm guys quickly with his smooth skating, long reach, big body and efficient stick work, and then carry the puck up ice to set up the initial stage of a scoring play with those same attributes.
