Guy has played like 80 games in the NHL. Goaltending will always be about proven long term stability for me. 4.2 is too much for someone who hasn't shown more.

Pretty much the exact same situation that Mason was in coming to Philly. Weren't sure what they were getting in Philly and gave him starter money on a short term deal. If you didn't expect Talbot to get 4 mil you were fooling yourself.

Agreed, but it is essentially the same situation and basically got the exact same amount of money when adjusted for cap inflation comes in a bit under Mason.
