I reiterate, I like it!!! Ballots in before playoffs be damned!Nick wroteCOLONLol Bryan. From Norris nominee to hart from a playoff game.
I didn't watch the game lol. This is always how I have felt. He is everything to that team.Nick wroteCOLONLol Bryan. From Norris nominee to hart from a playoff game.
He'd be in my top 3 as well.shooker wroteCOLONnot a typo. no hawk played over 30...Mike wroteCOLONDid not watch that game, not a typo????Lee wroteCOLONWow... Ryan Suter played 41 minutes tonite..
This guy should not only be the front runner for the Norris but honestly get consideration for the Hart. I realize that dmen aren't allowed to win the Hart anymore, Chara proved that in 08-09 as he did everything a dman possibly could to win and didn't, but man, over 30 mins 3 of last 4 regular season games. The guys is seriously everything to that team.
Both would be terrible choices IMO.shooker wroteCOLONI didn't watch the game lol. This is always how I have felt. He is everything to that team.Nick wroteCOLONLol Bryan. From Norris nominee to hart from a playoff game.
He doesn't have a hope though. Its an all Forward award just like the Norris is a Offensive Dman award. Subban or Letang will likely win that too.
Not saying he will win the Hart, I just think he should be. Ovi, Toews and Suter would be my nominations with an asterisk beside the winners name stating if Sid played a full season he would have won without contest. I would be ok with either JT or Markov as well.Nick wroteCOLONTop 3 for Norris, yes. other nominations deserve to go to Markov, Keith, or even the name everyone avoids for fear for being accused of wearing blue goggles. However Letang & Subban will be nominated.
Not for Hart. Ovi, Sidney are givens from their play this year. 3rd spot IMO goes to Johnny Toews, did lead his team to the president's trophy, over ppg and an all around do it yourself type player.
JayBo was unreal last night for the blues, showing what he's always been capable of.
I want us to beat them faster than that. Interesting matchup though. Logan has really made that his team in the past few months. interesting to see how SJS and VAN play, both teams have been incredibly inconsistent this year.Nick wroteCOLONI want the Canucks to beat the Sharks in 7 as well. Mostly so that after the election there are still social events to attend.
15-6-3 at home this season, we are a great home team. I think you are right about the home and away thing though, the winner will be who can play better on the road. SJS posted an 8-14-2 vs the Canucks at 11-9-4. Neither are records to be boasted about and clearly shows an area these two teams need to improve on. So in this series, who ever wins on the road wins period. Then again, it's the playoffs regular season records mean nill now lol. away team could somehow win every game lolNick wroteCOLONThe key IMO is how Vancouver plays at home: they have to win. Because SJS is going to win at home.
What? Sidney Crosby is the hands down winner.Shep wroteCOLONIf Ovy doesn't win the Hart the trophy is a joke.
PIT is 8-2 in the last 10 and I (not sure on this) think they went 9-3 without Sid. That doesn't scream "all sid" to me. This is a most valuable player award, not best player award and in saying I think that Ovi was more important to his team than sid was. first 11 games and only 2 wins, why? It was entirely because Ovi wasn't there yet. Although I think that is a knock towards ovi, it could also be contributed to learning a new system. One thing is for sure though, they are in the playoffs because he got going. You have to credit his line mates but ultimately Ovi turned it on and led that team to the division title. I personally think amongst the group likely to be nominated he is the hands down winner.SuperMario wroteCOLONWhat? No he isn't... You can't give a major award to a player who missed a significant portion of an already shortened season. It's far too small of a sample size. Further consider that the Hart Trophy is for the most valuable player, not the most oustanding player. It's pretty hard to argue that Crosby impacted the Penguins more in 36 games than Ovechkin did in 48 games.SuperMario wroteCOLONWhat?
