By necessity. We can't revoke wingness. Just don't touch that dropdown.

Its all fucked then. You are saying i cannot modify my lineups because i may screw it up? I was trying to set my lineup and now both Iginla and Hall are locked as Wingers when both should be centers.

If this is how volatile it is going to be, this is nuts. Do an annual update. How can we police that?

I also have a question for Mik. If a player gets changed from W to C after 20 gp in a shortened season, when and using what dataset, can that position switch be eligible back to W? What if in the 2nd half after the 20 gp mark that player takes 1 faceoff? When doing the FOT calculation is the entire season used or the 28 games after the switch?

well, I believe everything is reevaluated before the start of the next season. The numbers that are used IIRC are the entire seasons numbers.

An easy way to deal with this? Tell someone who is a CBS admin and have them change it.

Also there were no changes to Adam Hall. He's only played 19 games. If he was a centre on the last update he still is.... if he was a wing he's still a wing.

obviously no one is saying that. You can edit your lineup whenever you want, you just can't modify players positions.
I was trying to set my lineup and now both Iginla and Hall are locked as Wingers when both should be centers.
i see Iginla as C. Did an admin chang it back again?
And how did Iginla go back to W? i guess you used the dropdown?

Hall was at C to start the year and should be a C now. Considering his FOR, will stay at C even after reaching the 20 games plateau.
I've put him back at C now. Again, did you use the dropdown to put him at Wing?
Once you use it to put the player back to the original CBS position, CBS locks that position up again and you need an admin.
mr. bruin wroteCOLONI also have a question for Mik. games from 23 to 48 only affect next year eligibility.

After this midseason update, only players to switch position are those that allow for (and get) GMs requests:
hence those getting to 20 games after the performed overall update but before playoffs (or those whose FOR changes after the update and before their 23rd game, as you can only make requests from 20 to 22).

That was to have stability in players' positions in the 2nd part of the season, letting GMs know who is what for the rest of the season.
Obv in this crappy shortened season this might be less accurate than in the past, as the update came after like 25 games instead of 45..
so you might have more unlikely cases of players taking Faceoffs in the first part of the season and not in the 2nd part.
Think about those cases this way: you were allowed to use Iginla as a W in the first half of the season when actually he was playing C at least for bbkl purposes; if after getting switched to C he'll stop taking faceoffs, you'll be paying back the unfair advantage you got in the first half.
And he'll be back at W next season.

Exceptions to cover those cases were ruled down inside the CC, but seeing MIke was able to export stats from CBS and automatically generate FOR for all players, i guess we'll be able to make things better for next season.
