so it's not only the part in excess of 900k to count towards the cap.Wade Redden rule: a player with a one way contract earning $375,000 per year above the league minimum and playing in the AHL will have the entire cap less $100,000 count against the teams cap.
If a player's salary is 0.915M, his cap hit while in the AHL would be 0.815 (if instead salary is 0.890 his cap hit is zero).
I'm not sure why the needed to take away 100k from the salary in the cap count.. just to complicate things more?
we'll see how capgeek and CBS will manage this shit.
