Schultz has openly said he wants to go to western Canada.... Sounds to me like he is going to Edmonton without a doubt. Gardiner vs Talent + Opportunity sounds like a no brainer to me.

I hope to hell we dont get franson. I'd be super pissed to land him. even if it was on top of Kessel and Dion, I'd still hate the deal if he was involved... negative asset.

I like Franson and would be happy to keep him. Burke just said (about 30 minutes ago) that they met with Reimer and "he's very confident and doesn't want to give up the net"

According to burke, he's been working out "like a madman" and has zero symptoms left over after the Gionta hit last year..........he said this will play a huge role in not pushing for a goalie (as hard)

mistaken. Western Canada and imo the only reason the canucks are on the rumour mill. I doubt he comes to us althought I'd be extatic to have him. Obviously, TSN floods the market and says every single player is coming to Toronto. Annoying as hell.

I really like both players, and love this deal myself. I think this is a classic case of two talented players both underachieving, thus blab blah blu boom change of scenery.

I have been following Schultz thing closely and never heard the western Canada portion.

He's free to sign now I believe? So time will tell!!

We all wanted JvR earlier... Now I def thought we'd get a plus with him for Schenn, but am happy to add a forward with size & skill - if he was already in tip top form the price would be much higher. Although, ditto on Luke.
