I agree, well said Kareem, I know that but because of all the rumours I wrote otherwise.

Just got to toss one out there.... Seto? nevermind... F that... going to throw one I like out there.

Wheeler + Colborne.

Wheeler & Kessel are both weird-awkward dudes and supposedly really good friends, & Colborne was a U-D teammate of Bozak.... and boston doesn't need them ;)

I believe Dreger said that boston wants Kaberle still, & Savard could be moved... but not for one another -> they'd trade savard for something and then part of something for Kaberle.
DarrenDreger

No talk yet between Bruins and Leafs, with Wideman traded how long before Kaberle to Boston discussions start? Some say Savard is available.

I can't see Savard going. I can see Wheeler in a package though. Love to see Kaberle in Boston. they have too many forwards to not be making a move. Marchand is ready to make the team in a 3rd or 4th line role. Paille did not receive a QO. He is gone. More fireworks to come. Bring in Kabby Chia.

Man, Savard is EXACTLY what the leafs DONT need.

a 33 year old player who's career could be finished with ONE more big hit. Yeah, that sounds like a real good idea. Who the fuck cares about reuniting kessel with savard, if kessel can't put up proper point totals without him why the fuck did we trade all we did for him?

Savard is also what, like 5'10? We don't need any more tiny ass C's. We need a big bodied C,a guy like Getzlaf. Seriously, fuck trading our most valuable trading asset for an aging veteran who has retarded concussion problems. Look what happened the last time the leafs traded for an "elite" vet with Nolan, that sure worked out for us eh?!

We tried going this route for how many years prior to the lockout and it didn't work? Why the fuck is it going to work now trading for aging vets?

I hope you are right bro. I know people usually look forward to the offseason but I seem to dread it every year as a leaf fan lol.

yeah I would.

There is a reason Boston is shopping Savard instead of their young C's like Krecji and Bergeron. why should we oblige them and take on that risky asset? Particularly when we aren't anywhere CLOSE to competing for anything significant.

First of all, Boston is not shopping Savard, secondly he is only one year older than Kaberle. Thirdly how is it that we are nowhere near to competing for anything significant? We have one of the best D cores in the game, much improved goaltending, and a young forward core that is growing and getting better everyday. Lets say, hypothetically that we dealt Kaberle for Savard, are you honestly telling me we aren't a playoff team?

Kadri - Savard - Kessel
Kulemin - Bozak - Stalberg

Phaneuf - Komisarek
Gunnarsson - Schenn
Beauchemin - MVR

Gustavsson
Giguere

Must be some real great teams in the EAST for the above roster to not be a playoff team....And this is excluding the inevitable UFA signings Burke will make.

Kessel needs to be reunited with Savard, or we'll never see him score 20 goals.

and then someone drops a bomb on savard and he is concussed for the remainder of the season and his career is potentially over. Then what? This guy is a massive risk. I could care less about kaberles age too, I don't think he is anything close to what he use to be.

And you really think we are close to competing for a cup eh? I don't see the playoffs as being significant because we have no chance of competing with the big dogs. Probably a first round bounce.

Why not use our most valuable trading asset to try and improve us now AND down the road?

Once again, if the rumours are true (which they aren't as confirmed by le brun on twitter) why should toronto take the player that Boston wants to shed over their younger guys like Bergeron and Krejci? There would have to be a pretty good reason to move "superstar" savard over those guys, I mean fuck, that team is WAY closer to competing for a cup then WE are and by trading savard they IMO take a step backwards.

i've had a concussion before, you get over it with time....i've had lots of knocks to my head, and never had another.

I'm sure savard is fine

That being said, Burke was just on the Fan990 and he said he's pissed that this foolish rumour is floating aruond. Said that no deal was in place.

I find it funny that you claim we should stay away from Savard bc he is an injury risk, and than turn around and vouch for Bergeron.
