I'm sorry Scott but you put too much thought into this. Banned.

I'd wager one or two of the weeks is much more lopsided .

That's fair, Shiv is a more likable guy than me, inferior manager though.

It was nice knowing ya...
Yeah, I actually thought my picks over and didn't just go with chalk...high seeds winning. All 16 teams are good and got this far for a reason. It really boils down to a few factors if both teams are playing around expectation.
My three main criteria:
1. GP -- Which players had 4 game weeks vs. 3 game weeks...key in the cumulative stats.
2. Injury Strategy -- Is a team sitting a player or waiting it out with a day-to-day injury at risk of not getting anything from them at all if they don't play.
3. Goaltending -- Favorable game matchups and which goalies are playing important games and are capable of getting a shutout (usually the first team that gets a shutout will win that category).

And yet you picked Pittsburgh who falls short in all three categories, is a lesser team, and has NEVER beaten me during his BBKL tenure. Good pick...

Kareem, who cares who picks who. The fact remains that your team is better then Shivs and he's shorthanded this week as well. You definitely should win this week. Actually IMO your team is probably the safest pick this week all things considered. Also more people picked Billy's team then mine which is IMO more to do with people wanting me to lose probably. With how horrible my team played last week I can't see me losing. Especially if I win the goaltending battle and the chances of that happening look good. Washington should kick it up a gear after getting shut out back to back and other then one game in the last five, Neuvirth has been on his game. I definitely like my chances this week.

I'll be curious to see how far off my guesses are...I don't really see any blowouts and the upsets I have are expected to be close wins. I'm not saying Bill beats Scott or Shiv beats Kareem 16-0. That's the beauty of a head-to-head league vs. a roto league...you're not just adding onto your gawdy stats and pulling further away from the field...we all start from scratch on Monday and your guys have to show up for that given week or you'll lose. If I'm way off, no big deal to me...it's just how I see it this given week. I can definitely see how some would pick Mik to upset Steve...I thought about picking him too.

I just don't like contradictions, and literally every one of the factors Shoalzie listed for determining the match-up is in my favour, and yet he chose Shiv. I'd be annoyed if he picked my team under the opposite conditions.

Please don't take that as a slight towards you, Kareem. It's not like I don't like your team because on most weeks I'd favor you. I just went lineup against lineup and that's how I see it. If you beat Shiv then I was dead wrong...simple as that. Truth be told, I don't watch the top teams like a hawk as much as you guys watch each other...you guys are in the Premier League and I'm in relegation. I also try not to put personal feelings into this...just trying to look at both teams without knowing who runs them.
