My issue with Lundy is his cap, you better win the vast majority of goalie cats if you make 6.5, and Lundqvist doesn't even come close to doing that. The only tandem that does are the Bruins goaltenders with Jimmy Howard a near second.Scott wroteCOLONI forgot about the Bs goalies.. I agree with that! But I'd keep Lundy but obviously wouldn't be against moving him.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI agree, though IMO the only exception is Tim Thomas and Tuuka Rask, if I had Henrik Lundqvist he would be the first piece I trade.
Straight up Mike, I think Jonathan Quick is far and away the best goaltender in the NHL this season. Los Angeles has given up a number of quality scoring opportunities this season, and in general have not been very good. Despite these shortcomings Quick has elite numbers, and from what I've seen is the biggest reason Los Angeles is even in a playoff race.Mike wroteCOLONJon Quick. 1.8 mil. Aww yeah.
Next year at 1.8 as well.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONStraight up Mike, I think Jonathan Quick is far and away the best goaltender in the NHL this season. Jonathan Quick is arguably as big apart of the Kings success as Ryan Miller was to the Sabres in 2010. However, this is the first elite season of Quick's career, and traditionally goaltenders do not continue this pace without elite team defence. For these reasons Quick is not a goalie I would invest a large sum of cap into (moving forward). For the time being he is money though, and a big time bargain.
Even a mediocre goalie is money at 1.8. So needless to say you have a stud on your hands.Mike wroteCOLONNext year at 1.8 as well.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONStraight up Mike, I think Jonathan Quick is far and away the best goaltender in the NHL this season.
