Colborne will be a stud but I don't want to have too many Bruins, It kind of hurt me in ways last year. When i look at Billy and Steve's trade for 2nd I dont think i was out of the ballpark to move into top 10. The offer Steve and I were working on for 4th was too much from me i felt. I know others may have disagreed but clearing 4.5 mil off my team was an absolute must.

Chris Kelly + Matt Gilroy + Joe Colborne + Fla 2011 1st

for

2010 1st (5th overall) + Adam Foote

We were close to this but just never went down. I think Steve did awesome for the 2nd pick. I know Gilroy had a rough start last year but i think he will be an impact player very soon. All in all, i think everyones happy!

Yea, I'm an idiot because i gave Connolly(who the entire league basically thinks is worthless except me and now Mike I guess) and got a 3rd in 2010 instead of giving up Gilroy and Kelly and taking back Footes salary. Idiotic for a team projected to be near 6 million over in cap before any of this and having low amounts of picks. This idiot will be just fine. First you bitch about how my team is too old and has no organizational depth, and then i make a move to keep my young guys and get a high pick in a deep draft while clearing salary and an older player. You have to be a fucking woman who is ragging 24/7 because i just can't figure you out from day to day. Or maybe bipolar? i got it...A Bipolar ragging woman...solved 8-)

Yes, you did express interest for sure. I should have got together with you much earlier when the Hornqvist deal was going on!

Yea that's because my posts have value, where your 1000+ posts are 4 word slanders against everyone and everything. :P

Nah, Its all good. I've done more research on prospects and learned so much this year that i never did before. This draft could be very similar to 2003. I'm getting a stud at 7 and my team is looking fine for this upcoming season. I know i had all season long for cap issues but not when you want to draft in 2010.

Please stop saying everyone hates Connolly because we talked and all I said being from Buffalo I have watched and every Buffalo fan is nervous when Connolly hits the ice so I couldn't give up my top pick for it is all. I personally like Tim Connolly but you did offer me a completely different deal which you wanted the pick and Grier and something else from me.

I'm sorry for offending you. :? Let me correct myself and speak properly and not include any sarcasm. The majority of people that I had talks with didn't have much faith in Connolly due to his injury history or his contract. We did have talks and yes it was a different package but you also stated you did not have interest at all in moving your top pick. I believe it was this: "sorry, no thanks I have no interest in waivers or a 1st from next year and I cant afford to take on that many more players to lose a top pick im either drafting a star or receiving a star" I also offered Connolly for the 18th pick and Shep did not want any part of that either, which is fine. Its no big deal. Dallas was interested as well. I offered a similar package to what i gave Mike, to Luke but it included Matt Hunwick and he was not interested either. Which i could possibly understand for a rebuilding team, the 4th is nice. No big deal, I made my rounds from top to bottom and finally got a top 10 pick which was my goal to begin with.

This brings back memories. Mike completely fleeced me for the 7th overall pick last year. That trade was far worse.

LOL...So i take it bad memories...Yea i basically went against everything i thought was wrong with the value of picks in here just for the sake of having a nice pick and clearing salary instead of being patient. Probably can consider this a loss for me but it was a loss I had justified and was prepared to make. You watch Connolly breaks 80 points this year and Colborne is the Bruins top scoring WINGER in 2 years...HEHE

dude.

i traded:
Marian Hossa, Paul Martin, Andrew Cogliano, Kenny Ryan & David Rundblad .... for the pick that turned out to be #2.... and people actually didn't say 1/3 as much to me as they have to you. Look how dumb that deal is!!!!

Yea, that was a big one! And yet somehow the NYI franchise still got ruined! lol. I expect backlash in most deals and i give my fair share so I'm not too worried. Anything ive trading linked to Connolly i have been on the wrong end. Now he is gone and I can get back to at least making even deals...HA One of my worst deals ever still burns me.

To Boston: Mike Cammalleri

To Columbus: Andrei Markov + Juraj Mikus + Mike Hoffman + 2010 1st Rounder (BOS) + 2011 3rd Rounder (BOS)

Now that not too bad now but i got anxious and went and moved Cammalleri at the deadline for guess who...Tim Connolly. FUCK!!! I think id rather have Markov, my first and Hoffman back tbh...lol Dumb trades in hindsight eh...ah well. live and learn and make up the losses in other trades. Thats where being proactive can help fix mistakes.

I do what I can...

Seriously though, the only reason I called you an idiot is because you completely twisted my words, I NEVER said you had a shit farm, never said your team was too old (unless I was trash talking), and I certainly value Tim Connolly, but you never asked....

No draft will ever be like 2003, that was a baby boom draft, and one of the best in sports period...Not only did the NHL experience it's greatest drafting year in 2003, so too did the NBA (Bosh, Wade, Hinrich, LBJ, Ford, Mello, Kaman, Pietrus, Ridnour, Wes, Outlaw, Jones, Barbosa, Kapone, Williams, Pachulia, etc etc.). Needless to say there will NEVER be another draft like the 2003 one in this decade, maybe ever...
