Shoalzie wroteCOLONI'd be ripped if I settled for the first offer thrown at me (unless it was exactly what I asked for) when there is multiple teams involved. At this point, you allow the teams involved to determine the price. I've got 3 teams actively involved...and all teams are given chances to up their offers if they want. When I'm at the bottom, I have to get max value especially when there is more than one team involved in the bidding.
not knocking you, i'd be doing the same thing lol

*BUMP*

If anyone is looking for a cheap defenseman, Jeff Woywitka just got claimed off waivers by the Rangers from Montreal. I waived him the other day but cleared and I won't waive him to call him back up at risk of losing him given this move by the Rangers. His cap hit is only $650K but he's not waiver exempt. I'd like around the value that I got from trading Bartulis, Ritola and Meech but I'd take a little less given he's not waiver exempt. He's nothing special but he's in the league and will probably get a chance to play with the Rangers as a 6th or be their 7th defenseman with Staal out of with injury.

I'll say minimum asking price will be a 3rd round pick (or 3rd round value)...preferrably early to middle part of the round. If offered a 2nd round pick, I'll move him no questions asked.

I've been trying that for years, and all I do is get a punch in the face.

If I asked for a 1st, I'd get laughed at. I've been reasonable but I feel I've done well with flipping a few players that at one point was either a throw-in in a trade, close to being dropped outright or picked up off waivers. I'm tickled to get what I've gotten in my 4 trades involving Ritola, Bartulis, Meech, and Woywitka.

I'm not saying I've pulled a fast one on anyone but I've been able to capitalizing at having these guys at just the right time when I could get solid value for them. This is how it's going to have to be for me...I'm holding a hand of full of 3s but when 3s become wild, look out! One step at a time...
