I don't think you're getting it. I may have to clarify some more. You posted:Nick wroteCOLONHmm.. sorry my internet connection slowed my response time. 1-dimensional, cannot say I'm aware of what you're referring to.
Brayden failing to even look good, not to mention failing to dominate, in pre-season play is a bad sign to me. Absolutely no comparison to Ovy, to whom pre-seaosn means nothing. And I guess you haven't watched Kane this pre-season, as he is owning more then anyone else mentioned.
I would be interested in Morrow, has looked good to me.
Yet, in another thread, shooker responded to Paul's comment about preseasons by saying that they are essentially worthless in terms of gauging long-term value:Shiv cashes in. And IMO actually watched the flyers pre-season, Sean looked awesome, Brayden did not.
So basically, you and Shooker are in bed together, basically fellating each other over your respective hockey s-m-r-t-s, but when it's convenient for you both, you blatantly ignore the accepted wisdom to not use preseasons as a barometer for a player's long-term value and say the opposite.shooker wroteCOLONyea ask foligno.H MART wroteCOLONPreseason means everything bro
as for ryder, no.
Let's not forget that when you say this: "IMO actually watched the Flyer's preseason, Sean looked awesome, Brayden did not." I can only conclude that you have handed down a flimsy judgement based on the exceptionally poorly contrived deduction that I didn't watch Couturier or Schenn's preseason, and therefore, made a faulty judgement call. Not only are you making incredible leaps of logic here, you're essentially saying that if there's ever a trade that was intentionally meant to overpay, the person overpaying doesn't watch hockey.Nick wroteCOLON*a bunch of late desperate strawmen arguments essentially saying nothing*

They must watch enough hockey to know that you don't base a player's value on preseasons.
But what do I know? I'm just a newb on a message board who's never watched hockey before in my life.

Preseason does not mean much when an nhler is putting up alot of points, but when someone looks like complete shit and has almost played themselves off opening night roster, that does mean something. I don't understand you can't grasp those concepts with your self proclaimed high intellect.
I also like the trade for shiv if this was after last years WJC, that is a lot of great pieces. So before you go and take what I said in other threads and use it to make some kind of arguement you better know where I actually stand. You are BBKL's version of cut and past artist michael moore.

LOL how the hell did you get brought into this conversation? and how the hell am I getting attack for liking one side of a trade? This is stupid.
Self proclaimed hockey Gurus? This coming from the guy who made "Tips From The Champ" you egotistical hypocrite.
It's fascinating that while you're deflecting everything I have said, you're ignoring that Schenn has been suffering from a lingering injury, contributing to his somewhat lacklustre preseason performance -- I'm assuming that you and Nick both watched the preseason so you probably are aware that there's an injury concern behind his performance. Don't expect me to sit here and read the hokey tripe you and Nick post when it blatantly interferes and opposes a stance you took a day earlier.shooker wroteCOLONHAahhah dude... you are such a tool. It doesnt matter I like this trade for shiv regardless. If Scott's Mother Teresa next to me, I'm happy to be the Devil who tells you exactly what he's been observing, reading, and discussing with other members of the BBKL. I don't know what you're like in life, but I'm sure you're a short little man who needs to shrilly broadcast his opinion to anyone that will listen because a deep voice coming from you sounds like a wet fart. Keep on invalidating yourself. You're doing a fantastic job of it.
shooker wroteCOLONI agree with the overpayment. A good young roster, three great prospects and a top 5 pick in 2013, seems like a lot for schenn especially how he has looked this preseason.

Lol whats funny is nick and I disagree on almost every player in the nhl. You might hold similar player values but if you have talked to either of us you would know we like very different kinds of players.Cuntacular Chris wroteCOLONshooker wroteCOLONI agree with the overpayment. I should go back into the last three months to point out what I have observed. But I don't need to validate my claims. Many here have already did that for me.

For the record, it's the fact that Shooker said one thing yesterday, and then flip flopped on his stance today, and Nick predictably followed suit. I told someone that after seeing Shooker's post, that Nick would follow along and say the same thing. It's a pattern. A very distinctive pattern that I've observed over a period of time here. It's not about the person behind the screen -- I hopefully didn't say anything about them as a person -- but I don't like hypocrisy; especially when that opinion is used to criticized without merit. If shooker and Nick took this criticism personally, good. It's apparently an issue.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONLOL...Chris you couldn't be more off base, Bry and Nick disagree on almost everything hockey related, this is the rare instance that they agree, and if you think I'm defending "friends" you would be wrong too.
