I'll say it...Game 5 is as much of a must win for the Sharks as it is for the Wings.
I agree

i disagree
:evil

they have 2 more games until its a must win.

The Sharks are (seemingly) perennial postseason underachievers while the Wings have been a model of consistency. The pressure is all on the Sharks to finish because with last night's huge win by the Wings, doubt can begin to creep in. It's not like those three wins were the most decisive wins either. If a bounce goes the Wings way in Game 3 or Lidstrom's stick doesn't break in Game 2...perhaps this is tied. The Sharks have those wins in the bank but by no means had they been dominating the play in this series.

Game 5 is going to be a wild game because I think the urgency will be ratcheted up on both sides. The Wings have to be desperate but as I said, I doubt the Sharks want to go back to Detroit and try to wrap the series up there considering they narrowly won in Game 3 and were blown out the arena in Game 4. It's in their best interest to win Saturday and not allow the slightest chance that they can let this series slip through their fingers. In the case of team that forces a Game 7, they're the ones that tend to play like they have nothing to lose. The Wings have succeeded as well as failed...the Sharks have done nothing but failed. The heat is on them. Finish this on Saturday or stare potential infamy in the face.

A blowout was probably the best way to lose for San Jose ... a wake-up call. Being a Sharks fan and watching them crap out every year, this is indeed a different team. Previous years they wouldn't battled back like they have in a few games this postseason. The Tank will be boomin', and I honestly don't see Detroit winning another one ...

I might have to agree. It'd be nice for San Jose to get the huge fucking gorilla off their backs too.

I think I deserve some credit here. I exorcised the Shark's demons by choking in this league for them.
