one hole in scotts roster was goaltending. and he wouldve paid through the nose for it because brodeur even if he plays well next year will be out the year after.

not only did you give him a starting netminder, you gave him one who is 4m less than brodeur in salary. and last time i checked scott was in cap hell. he wouldve paid SO MUCH more for varlamov. the value added by this move to scotts roster is ridiculous. and rundblad is great but you got nothing worth the value you gave up to scott in scotts perspective.

theres going to be criticism for a bad trade no matter who makes it lol. and this was a huge miscalculation. you couldve mirked scott.

I DON'T think its as bad as some of you think... however... its not good.... in terms he could have gotten more, but thats 1st should be a good one, even if in a junk year----> rundlbad is something too IMO.... however in this league goaltenders = gold.
