At one point I played competitively in the CAL league (biggest online league for the game).

Made it to the championships in CAL-IM season 12 or so.

Was fucking amazing. Playing public servers with friends was always incredibly fun though as well. Loved trolling people with the AWP hahaha. People always bitched about that weapon SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.

Ive never played Gears (I assume you are talking about Gears). GoW is reserved for God of War btw

yup same here man. After making the run to the finals, our team went up to M but I just stopped and pubbed whenever i had the itch. Competitive CS was no joke, quite a time commitment.

Fun times though for sure.

And yeah, I have a ton of friends who played competitively in the CAL League, and today play competitively in MLG for Halo 3, NHL 11, and COD. It's actually pretty crazy how many friends I have that play competitive video gaming, and get paid to do so, I am terrible by comparison which sucks. Because I was good enough friends with one team that I could have joined them if I was even half decent in Halo or COD.
