Fun league? Absolutely. That involves (to me at least) being able to understand what other GMs are saying. Maybe he doesn't, as you suggested, possess the requisite brain power to type in a cohesive fashion - and maybe that should be a requirement in place for all new GMs: the ability to communicate properly.

I can understand frank 95% of the time. 5% of the time he is incomprehensible. But the language barrier is largely responsible. If this was the posting of a trade, I am in full support. I have given Frank shit on msn to make sure he posts his trades properly. But this whole conversation started because of Jesse Blacker being put on the block. And even THAT is fine. But nudge him on msn/tell him to fix it. This gets taken to a whole another level when we start talking about kicking out competent GMs or being intolerant of how difficult it is to be in a community where you are the only person whose first language isn't English.

I don't know where you're getting this idea about booting competent GMs from. No 1, I'm not advocating kicking Frank out, simply having a (hah) written portion to the BBKL entrance exam. No 2, I'd contest labelling Frank competent, but that's just my opinion.

I have given Frank shit myself on MSN for not spelling things correctly with regards to trades/his team page. But this is different. It's a trading block lol. It doesn't need to be searchable. It is easily fixable without an overreaction. Which is why my whole point in this thread has been that people are too hard on Frank. His English gets made fun of at least twice a day. It really is ridiculous. Half the people in this league seem to be fine with it. The other half seem to be on him every day.

He deserves the ridicule he gets. His posts are embarrassing. That makes me an asshole? So be it.

What bothers me is not that people try to fix his grammar for the good of the league i.e. Search Purposes (if something like this is the reason I am all for it). But most of the time, his English gets made fun of as a form of ridicule/internet bullying to the 3rd observer. It really is constant and not cool. Make fun of the fact that he low balls, make fun of the fact that he is more persistent than I am on msn (which says a lot haha) but making fun of the guy simply because his English is bad is discriminatory.

Agreed. I've had the same conversation with him on msn a couple of times. The most we can really do it tell him to step it up. He knows he's on a short leash. Hopefully he can turn it around.

Think about it.. if Blacker wasn't a Leaf prospect, or was just a really minor prospect, and was posted as "Jesse Becker" people may legitimately think that is his name and wonder who the hell he is and where all the information is on this guy.
