sell the tickets you idiot. if you're broke, $2000 is a lot of money for a student. id rather come out of uni not in debt as much. lol watch the game on tv at real sports and get drunk/eat with part of the money you sell the tickets for.

btw i dont get the talk about you regretting not going to a playoff game. you have a significant amount of money/interest you can pay off for debt on the one hand, and a regular season game thats important because of doc that can be watched in other venues too. lol do the smart thing man ;).

Watching Roy Halladay return is a once in a lifetime opportunity, even better than a playoff game. Only thing that trumps it would be a WS game.

Where exactly are your seats? If they sell for $500 each, then Im assuming they are the "In the action" seats behind home plate?

Watching on TV is just shit compared to watching live, and then good seats is another step up again . It's like listening to music on the radio, versus being in the seats, compared to being on the floor.

Since you're broke you couldn't afford these tickets, but then they were given to you... I dunno about you, but I want/like having money so that I can do fun things and experience awesome shit.

Typically the path: Work->Money->necessary shit->awesome stuff; you just skipped to the end. The first three steps will be waiting for your return.

This is about the adventure. For an accurate definition on the choice you'd be making see the "I'm in versus I'm out" beer commercial.

Worst case IMO you sell those seats on kijiji or craigslist, and get yourself some cheap seats... still way better then a bar, which is a notable upgrade on at home. At least IMO if you're wanting to have a kick-ass time.

no..go to the game. They were a gift initially and not meant to be resold for profit. I am sure the people that has season tickets besides them will talk to the original owner next time and the story will somehow get back that you were not the ones at the game. And your luck you will sell the tickets to some super fan who brings a large sign and causes a disturbance to all the other regulars. Go to the game and enjoy it. You are not going to be ahead but you'll have a memory.

honestly, it's fucking baseball. they play 162 times a year.

ya ya i get the halladay thing, but i guarantee after the first inning when the novelty wears off you'll regret it.

sell the fucking tickets, buy some nosebleeds, and save the difference.

i went to the AJ Burnett vs Halladay game couple years ago and sat in the 3rd highest row in the entire damn place and had a wicked time.

If you plan on going to the game..maybe we can work something out? Ill pay you some cash to upgrade my seats(depending where your seats are)? Would you be interested in that?

As corny as this may sound...

How do you think your dad would feel if he knew he was giving you these tickets just so you could sell them for some extra money? How would you feel if you gave someone a great gift like this and then they turned around and sold it? Personally I would be a little ticked off I think.

Maybe your dad knows you're going to sell them though, I never read everything.

Depends on the money and difference I suppose.

He would be happier if I made money out of it, so that is not an issue.

OK cool. I just wanted to throw that out there.

Good luck with your decision.
