no in every persons world. Try moving rafalski. No one wants him. Steve was just lucky bill has not been in this league that long. This deal is really streit for sheahan.

except not every GM has a constant revolving door system like you.SuperMario wroteCOLONno in every persons world. Try moving rafalski. No one wants him. Steve was just lucky bill has not been in this league that long.
did it ever occur to you that Bill might plan on keeping Rafalski and, you know, enjoying the 40-50 pts he brings.
but you're right, clearly your system and GM style is best as clearly shown by all your playoff succe.....oh wait.

no wait its better to destroy a playoff team and then rebuild it back up to the same or worse level .anton wroteCOLONexcept not every GM has a constant revolving door system like you.SuperMario wroteCOLONno in every persons world. and you didn't just suggest that Bill will use Rafalski on his Dallas team that has 1st and 2nd Overall picks and clearly rebuilding lol.

I told Shiv earlier when he messaged me about my decision...I'm ok using Rafalski for 1-2 seasons and retiring him. He buys me time for my team to gain depth and mature, and I added a ND guy that I happen to like. For the purpose of Streit on my squad Rafalski will serve me well.

Not to mention, Bills team isn't that bad...IMO he is going to be a bubble playoff team next year.

Second, Dallas isnt taking a full rebuild. In my opinion those picks could very easily be in the NHL this year.
Re: LA - DAL
shiv, you need to think before you spout off at the mouth or you're going to get destroyed every time by someone with even a feint ability to form a reasonable thought.
having high picks doesn't label you a rebuilding team...in fact, dallas was a playoff team this year if you are capable of remembering that far back.
the fact that dallas is a competitive team while still maintaining the 1st and 2nd overall picks says something about the GMs competency.
Dallas is already a playoff team adding the first 2 picks in this years draft and now Brian Rafalski. he has only improved his squad, which is more than can be said about you.

lets be real here. It was the other dallas GMs that acquired those picks not the current one. That isn't a shot at bill either, he is clearly a competent GM and knows what he is doing....It's just an observation that I wanted to point out since you want to use the fact that dallas owns the 1st and 2nd picks while still remaining competitive as one of your arguments.
Anyways, Rafalski is fucking 38 years old and sheahan wont see NHL time for at least 3 seasons (if not more?). So Steve gets Streit who should probably be around for at least 4 more years producing at a high level for a guy who wont see NHL time for 3 or so seasons and a guy who is at the twilight of his career. This is clearly a win for steve now. It could change in 4 years or so if sheahan makes an impact.
EDIT> all that really matters is both parties are happy with the deal though. so ... yah.
PS. Andy Greene is bawls

Apparently Brian Rafalski is retiring.
