Malhorta vs 1st line
Sedins vs shutdown/2nd line
Kesler vs 3rd-line/2nd offernsive line
He wins his matchups, was by far the best player in the Nashville series... but how good he is, IMO, is now grossly exaggerated.
Sharks vs Nucks would be a good series, but IMO the Nucks would destroy the Wings.
I definitely agree that Kesler's stock is exaggerated.. but he's still definitely one heck of a player and had an insanely good series versus the Preds. I also agree that the Nucks would destroy the Wings.. lol

We've been agreeing too much lately Nick. It's making me sick.

In the reg season, Ryan Kesler lead all Canucks forwards in: total time on ice, time on ice per game, shifts per game, total shifts, and is third (behind only the Sedins) in ESTOI. Given this information, and the fact that Ryan Kesler ranks very high on special teams, I find it difficult to believe Kesler was paired up against the oppositions second and third best units. Until I see some statistical evidence I am going to call BS on this one.

There are very few star players that are not overrated.

somehow i agree with kareem here (wtf?)
and even kesler's playing against the 3rd line, kudos to the coaching staff to get the matchup.
There is a chinese story which goes something like this
2 guys both with their 3 horses goes on a race (best of 3), both their 3 horses have tier 1, tier 2, tier 3. So the old chinese guy use this strategy
He uses his tier 3 horse to face the opponents tier 1 horse (lose)
then his tier 1 horse face opponents tier 2 horse (win)
finally his tier 2 horse face opponents tier 3 horse (win)
so here goes
Malhorta vs 1st line (lose)
Sedins vs shutdown/2nd line (win)
Kesler vs 3rd-line/2nd offernsive line (win)
NUCKS win

Yea....Kareem is spot on here. Kesler's stock over-rated? Come on! The dude is a beast in every aspect of the game. Using the argument that his goals come against non-playoff teams is a joke. Its the NHL. The separation from the top 16 to bottom is not that different except for maybe bottom 3-4 teams. They guy is a fucking rockstar and i dont think that is debatable.

I dont get the Canuck hate in here. Ottawa, Montreal, Boston I get..Canucks? I personally love watching them and if there ever was a second team I was to follow it would be them.

Their fans hate the Leafs for some reason that nobody really knows. It started from that.

Vancouver is irrelevant and jealous.
This is coming from someone who has absolutely no fucks given about the rivalry.

Of all the teams left, Boston would be the last team I'd like to see win. The Nucks second last. Tampa, Detroit and SJ all have players that I like way more and Tampa and SJ have Canadians I like more than Luongo.

hehe...Now thats the utter hate i would expect. Good thing the Bruins arent following any sort of predictability this post season. Keeping most funs really scratching there heads. Van-SJ is going to be epic....Not sure about Bos-TB. The loss of Bergeron is hard for me to grasp. They are so stacked and playing proper. But if the Bruins can get through Roloson and shut down there big guns anything is possible. All i can hope for is a split in first 4 then hopefully welcome back Bergeron for game 5. If that happens I think they will be much better off...
