nah, I got a good team but i am lacking in some major areas and i dont have the assets to fix em. I cannot beat the NJ,WAS,TB,COL,LAK 9 out of 10 times. I might get lucky and come close like this week. I didnt deserve to be that close as i had a GP advantage, goalie gp advantage and Steve had injuries. As it stands i consider my team maybe a 2nd round playoff winner. 50/50 right now.

No, I wouldn't, I lost 9 games to injury, and had horrible goaltending, that to me is bad luck more than anything. Statistically that was my worst week all season, any team would have "white washed" me so to speak, and given the same set of set of circumstances on the other end I would have killed Scott. Need I also remind you that I was winning this battle before losing 9 fucking games, Scott will point to a 3 game edge, but I had that edge all week so it is irrelevant.

Back on topic, Scott isn't even close to the best team, it's amazing to me how little respect TB gets, the last 6 week they have been BY FAR (and when I say by far, I mean BY FAR) the best team in this league, it's not even close. I don't even think Scott is #2, the team he has now is overrated, judging by his stat distribution this week it is very clear that he is beatable.

You make some good points and i can't really disagree. I still think his team is leagues above over time but like I said before anything can happen on a week to week basis. And trust me when i say this, TB is right up near the top for me. I took a beating from him when his hot streak started and it has not let off one bit. I would also like to say that TOR is quietly destroying people and has a solid periphery team. If Mike gets one or two more pieces, he could be right up there with NJ and WAS. I face him this week and I fear he wants some revenge for our last meeting..lol

Yeah, I'm not up there anymore. The team I had on paper should have been dominant, but Pitkanen's scoring has gone to hell the last two months, ditto with Stewart, Kronwall, and Stastny, and it had been doing so for over a month so despite having a team that I felt was the best, it wasn't performing to its capability. Which only reinforces my belief that this league is as much about being hot at the right times, than it is over the course of a full season. For that reason, and because I think it is incredibly easy to beat a specific opponent if you do the right planning (as demonstrated by beating Scott, and than taking a lead into Wednesday before getting injured). It really isn't as difficult as people make it out to be, the problem (I think) is that too many people try to beat good teams at what they excel at, rather than trying to counteract it.

P.S. If you get scoring (and you are capable of it), you beat Scott 9 times out of 10, and me 10 out of 10 times.

How is irrelevant when the GP was really close after you lost a few guys? Sure, you had a shitty week.. it happens to everyone. I didn't have one of my best weeks either.. I just ran in to a shittier team.

I'm 100% beatable.. we've went over this over and over. Also, I've been the one pumping Nick's team.. he is fucking stacked. I've been saying it for a couple of months now that he's a legit top 3-5 team in BBKL but you stating that he's been the best team BY FAR over the last 6 weeks is incorrect. I went back and checked it out and I would have a winning record against him over that stretch.. but my team's garbage right? LOL.

W 18 - 11-4-1
W 17 - 9-6-1
W 16 - 10-5-1
W 15 - 5-10-1
W 14 - 7-8-1
W 13 - 7-9-0

I still believe the difference between most of the tops teams is opponents at the right time. NJ, COL, WSH, BOS, LAK, (edit: PIT, no disrespect intended),TOR and recently my group, and until recently the STL group -- Kareem I agree it's a lot to do with being hot, but also having guys that are consistent. One of Scott's biggest strengths is how consistent he is strong at ALL categories, for w/e reason my hits are up and down and all about, goals seem to come in bunches or not at all... save for Horton and Kane my team was rather low this week.. NJDs highs don't seem to be AS high, but his lows are not as low either -> Very much like COL.

Side note... I hate that i split the goalie categories with FLA (T. Conklin, J. Markstrom) -> Conklin played in the 3rd when Halak was pulled, made 11 saves = 1000 sv% & 0.00GAA... my goalies won all their games (3-0) including a SO and 2 reasonable other performances... and that's a split on the tending categories.

Comical that Kareem and Scott tied FOW... amazing how that happens.

God you are stupid...I had a 3 game edge coming into the week, you lost two games (one to ROR who is useless), and another to Mike Green (significant), whereas I lost 9 man games to significant periphery players (the stat I built on last week), that is a difference of 4 games which is alot in itself, but even moreso when you consider the quality of players lost (Pitkanen, Grossman, Tanguay, Cooke). Had I stayed healthy I would have had a 5 game edge with the lead on Wednesday morning, judging by the stats, there is a very, very strong chance I would have won our match up, even despite losing the 50/50 cats (goaltending and +/-). But hey if you want to brag about beating an unhealthy team go right ahead, but we both know when healthy I'm 1-0, and with the lead heading into Wednesday.

Cheers :D
