TigerFest was yesterday...I've never been. I was going to the Wings game and I could see a ton of people making their way to Comerica for TigerFest in the freezing cold. I don't get fully into the Tigers until the Wings' season is over but I'm not going to lie...I'm pretty excited about this season.

In all seriousness though, that is awesome, I hope you have a camera to share the good times, and if not a couple cool stories.

Yeah I'm not much of a camera guy myself but my buddy snapped a few last night. Perhaps will grab a few at the game today as well. We were sitting next to Kennedy's gf at the game - she was wayyyy out of his league even with the hockey thing heh. She was quite nice as well. Showed us around the rink after the game. Think our tickets are with them today too. Heh, Malkin's agent and gf were sitting next to us as well. He was a bit of a prick and started chirping us about the WJ loss . Oh and Malkin's gf was pretty dirty. No me gusta.

Also saw Sid as we were leaving the dressing room area... This was just around the corner from the stick rack where I was making fun of the tinyness of his sticks ("Did Crosby steal Conner's sticks or something??"). He didn't seem too pleased.

I'm not exactly sold on signing Bautista long term. Don't really want to make the same mistake we made with Wells. IMO, we have a couple of options:

1. Get the 1 year arb deal done..let him play out the season. If his awesomeness continues..extend him midway through the season. If he's not awesome, both sides move on.

2. Sign a low risk ish multi year deal now. 3 years 25-30 million (chump change nowadays).

I've been on the inside of this story for some time... Nutz already been busted -> stories are a plus, although I'm personally not a fan of typed stories/messages that can be publicly accessed, that's how rumours get started and spread.

Must be crazy @ Heinz field, up already, held Jets response to a FG.

Tell Staal I need, nay expect, a GWG and a SHG at least every second game.

Just got in to TO after a speedy drive home post-game. Awesome atmosphere, though insanely cold, and a lot of annoying people asking for autographs...
