mr. bruin wroteCOLONLol Boys, I don't know how many of you have been exposed to francophone's on a regular basis but speaking English and writing English is two different things. Many french speaking people can talk perfect english but have a very difficult time in writing it because the english language has some fucked up rules in it. Just the same as many english people can speak very good french but to write it is a completely different ballgame. But i gotta say, it is funny to see a video of someone that you have created a persona for based on online activity to be completely different than what you thought. lol
You mean you *guess*.I guest I'm happy that I didn't quit.
Well obviously we come from different backgrounds because I am immersed in a totally bilingual environment. And Again on the topic, you seemed to have misread/misunderstood what i wrote. I said both french and English is harder to learn to WRITE than it is to SPEAK. I am not telling you anything, I am making a post that is true. You ever heard of the word illiterate? If so does that mean they can't talk either? What is harder, talking english or writing English? You proved my point with your response and every other response. Stick to the vidsfedro91 wroteCOLONmr. bruin wroteCOLONLol Boys, I don't know how many of you have been exposed to francophone's on a regular basis but speaking English and writing English is two different things. It's so not true. I allways been told by english or french people that the language of english is easier to learn or write. And I don't know too many anglophone who can speak or even write french. So don't come and tell me it's easier to learn french when it's so not true. Or even the same when it ain't. I guest my grammar suck and I don't try hard enough to impress everyone by taking my time at writting.
But thx everyone for taking the time to watch my video and hopefully everyone voted at least once since you could vote a max of one per day.
Vote for Fedro91. lol. I guest I'm happy that I didn't quit.
This is the same feeling i got from many people in there experiences learning English. My Cousins wife was 100% francophone and she wanted to learn English so she moved to Whistler and just basically had to learn. To this day she still has trouble with some of the crazy shit like you mentioned, in the English language. Also Chuck, would you agree that writing in any language is a lot harder than speaking? I think that is completely normal for almost any language.Habber wroteCOLONActually English is known as one of the most difficult languages in the world to learn. Theres a bunch of reasons as to why:
1. There are very few rules when it comes to the english language...aka I before E kind of shit. Most languages, and french included have tons of rules governing grammar, syntax and all that. English by comparison has relatively few.
2. English language has way too much slang in it that changes on almost a daily basis. Theres far too many words or phrases that only stick around temporarily and then stop being used when the novelty wears off...aka far out, radical, cool, cowabunga...go ninja turtles...
3. Alot of English words have like 3-5 different meanings...aka their, there, they're. Most languages have their words meaning only one thing, maybe 2 tops. Really confusing for people trying to learn the language. Biggest problem is when people make up new meanings for words which happens ALL the time (refer to #2)
Although Im completely fluent in both languages and speak with the proper accent of whichever language I speak; I found English was alot harder to learn. Those are my experiences though.
Absolutely writing is a ton hearder than speaking. At least if you speak you dont necessarily have to remember all said rules for grammar and whatnot. Writing means you have to remember all the rules, conjugations, etc...mr. bruin wroteCOLON

And you would lose that money, English is universally thought to be one of the hardest languages to learn, not so with french.fedro91 wroteCOLONI agree that writting something in your 2nd language is harder then speaking it. But I would still put my money on English being easier to learn how to write and talk then French.
I don't think anything comes close to the chinese languages, Cantonese and Mandarin... they have 1000's of characters and stuff... they have different types of letters!!!! LOL but supposedly speaking is easier then writing, to the point that many natural speakers never learn how to write (I forget which language that is true for).MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONAnd you would lose that money, English is universally thought to be one of the hardest languages to learn, not so with french.fedro91 wroteCOLONI agree that writting something in your 2nd language is harder then speaking it. Korean is tough, I've got a ton of friends who are Korean, and I couldn't write in it to save my life.facey wroteCOLONI don't think anything comes close to the chinese languages, Cantonese and Mandarin... they have 1000's of characters and stuff... they have different types of letters!!!!
