If ever there was a year a conference is wide open for ANY team to make the playoffs, it would be this year in the Prince of Wales conference. After the top 7 teams there is a huge drop off. 8th place (Boston) in the Wales would be ranked 13th in the Campbell conference. With over half the season remaining any of those bottom teams in the Wales have a chance at the playoffs even if Montreal and carolina are extremely unlikely. But still, lots of teams that are fairly bad have a chance of grabbing a spot if they have a good 2nd half (Columbus/detroit/nyr/nyi). One of those teams probably makes the playoffs.
