Another non-competitive loss for the Wings tonight. I hope the young guys in that room can stay strong because too much losing can ruin them.

No hyperbole, this is the worst calendar year imaginable as a pro sports fan in this area. Tigers and Wings are the worst in their sports. Lions are picking 3rd in the NFL draft and the Pistons have finally started a tear down are a bottom 5 team in the NBA. The fact I'm too busy with work and being a dad takes the sting out of this. Hopefully any of these teams are worth following when my son is old enough to care.

Even the year the Lions went to the NFC title game it was almost by default. They never had a prayer in the title game against the Redskins who were one of the most dominant teams in the super bowl era.
