Haha I know.
Just saying I, for one, wouldn’t mind seeing you back.

It is funny tho
How things progress
Shep for the longest time response to "come back" was 'nah, i have no interest in a comeback"
Quite several times stayed strongly on course too
But
Now
Lol
Such change in mind. Funny how it works out.

He’s also butt hurt they won’t let him take over a bottom dweller to build it back up *shrug*
Paul, I think shep had to (he will correct me if I’m wrong) step away because life was just getting super busy with the new child and everything.
Even during his absence he’s still been around the forumns the entire time.
Was always a great part of the league too

Not to take sides, but he also admitted to his waning interest in the league and that the league was more of a chore for him than anything. Maybe being away for a while has given him perspective on how much he misses the league. Only he really knows.

Was that shep? I can’t remember
Of all the people to leave though it’s only really ever been him and shiv who stop by, shiv far less regularly.
Anyways not my decision anyways. I don’t think shep would voice interest to come back only to dip in a year or two tho

I left as part of the process of building another team up to respectability. If I am not back as part of the league it's because I am not wanted in the league, not a lack of interest on my part.

The league had become too much because I was in like 5 NHL and 5 NFL cash leagues, was playing heavy DFS, etc. With a kid now I scaled all of that back considerably and now that I play a normal amount of leagues (2 each) I remember how much fun this league was and how much I missed it.
It lost interest because of all the work for no money, when all the rest I did had monetary payoffs for success.
Clearly the fact that I've stuck around should show that my interest is still here.

aren't you still in 4 money leagues that still offer monetary payoff for success?
and don't get me wrong, as I said inside the CC I think having back old-time Shep would be nice

it's actually your call. We haven't replaced you yet, and we are reluctant to replace such an active GM that has been doing so well for his team.
What needs to be clear is that if you quit you're going through a long hiatus like other quitters, and whenever back you won't be allowed to pick your team... suppose the opportunity is there in 2 years and the league approves your comeback, the opening might happen to be there for a team as competitive as yours is right now...
So I think quitting would be a retarded decision considering your interest in the league seems still there, but whatever

Yeah but NFL is such less maintenance so I really consider it two leagues for hockey because they are daily. But I understand your concerns.
The pride of winning this league is still very high in importance.
