He could very well now in Boston.

I fully believe that Horton will become more of the 'franchise player' in Boston than Seguin will ever be.

I hope Nick is right. And i see shaded of Neely in Horton. Not comparing, just saying similar situations to what sparked his career. In Vancouver he was nothing, move to Boston sparked him and he went on the basically be the protege for a power forward. Savard to Horton back to Savard...GOAL. Horton is going to be a fantasy stud. Why i do not think anyone, including myself will ever get horton off on Nick. Although maybe if Boychuk was involved ;) And Steve I still do not get your Seguin hate. For someone so in tune to prospects I have no clue how you cannot see he is the real deal and is about as sure of a thing as you can get when it comes to drafting.

It's not hate for Seguin....i just think he's badly overrated. He has never done anything outside of his own team...cut from the WJ roster, didn't have a great showing at this summer WJ camp invites....

he's never stood out in any place except his own team....the Boston - Toronto deal never once bothered me....only because you landed Seguin...now if Boston had of drafted Hall - wow...i'd be pissed...lol

IMO Hall & Seguin shouldn't even be compared....two different levels....i'm not even sure i would have taken Seguin 2nd overall....I personally think Brett Connolly will go on to have a better NHL Career than Seguin.

I'm not saying this out of hate, I just don't see the 'completely game' other see in Seguin....maybe i'll be wrong, who knows really.

Connolly has the potential, but he also has the potential to blow out his hip in his first season! Seguin has a lot of built up anguish towards not making that team and has stated himself he is going to first, make the team, and second, prove the doubters wrong. He is a complete package of a player and if you like the Kessel deal because it was Seguin over Hall you are crazy. There is no way the difference is as big as you state.

PS, Just remembered this, Kessel was a center before coming to Boston, then was modified to play wing! I know i had this discussion with someone.

I agree, a player like Connolly has to hold up - as in stay injury free...

and trust me....Hall and Seguin are in completely different levels....i dont see many comparisions at all...other than their total points this year...and remember Hall played 10 fewer games.

There is no doubt he was the best overall pick. It was obvious. Two totally different players. I just think Halls reckless play could hinder him. but who knows, the season is almost here and time will tell. Seguin will not be on the top line in Boston, where Hall most likely will be. Wont be comparable in the first few years, imo. I think development wise, Seguin is in a way better position and will benefit from it. Mark Recchi as his mentor! so excited....

The Bruins wagon is open for now so you better jump on soon!

You won't get many of those around here....i'd rather jump on the Montreal ban-wagon before Boston...lol

and neither will happen, heck if we can stick with the leafs after the last 5 years, nothing will take us away!

Hall was proven over a longer period of time, and against a higher level of competition. Now, that is not the slight Tyler; IMO the kid is awesome.

Fair enough!

I'm also the guy that cannot understand how Fowler & Gormley fell... Cam specifically, way way too poised under pressure, the most skilled defender in this draft, perhaps the best skater in this draft (if not cam, MacFarland or Hall). Oh, and I'm not a Connolly fan... just haven't seen him play good hockey in the past year.

no worries, Connolly is a hit or miss type of a guy...i drafted him because i could take the risk on him....He's either a sure thing (star) or his career will be like the other Connolly....42 games a year.
