Crouse isn't amazing, but he is still a good prospect. You are overrating Stamkos in this league.

Well, that pick is 2 years away. No guarantee that is a top 5 pick 2 years from now, but yes it would be surprising if Kimmer turned that team around to the point to be competing for a playoff spot by then.

MacKinnon is an easy no, RyJo I'd seriously consider, but don't have the cap space right now.

Stamkos had a "down" year and was still 9th ranked center with only 460 fow on fantrax. I'd say spezza + 1st for stamkos would be fair if they were the same age. But they are not. One is 33 and one is just 26.
