Sending a package to Shiv for Stammer should be a no brainer for any team that really wants to compete in BBKL, fact of the matter is good players make good money.

Shouldn't you be making an offer then? Your division is ripe for the taking with Steve weakening his team.

I did make an offer but I already have two players making more than 7 million on my roster as well.

I have no one over 6 and had to trade my two 8+M guys this offseason to be cap compliant.

Yup, people will get there. Season hasn't started plus Stamkos will go on goal scoring streaks + if he gets 50 goals this year his value will only go higher.

I also think people are underestimating the expansion draft...you don't get to keep that many players safe. So in those scenarios, 2 things become very valuable: high-end pieces like Stamkos because they're essentially worth 2-3 solid NHLers...and draft picks. IMO 4th liners will be worth scraps by the trade deadline. Maybe even 3rd liners.

Taking Stamkos and Carlson to my team past the expansion draft is a pretty attractive option for my team anyways.

While I agree, u sound pretty confident he gets 50 goals. He hasn't done that since before the lockout in 2011-2012.

Ya. 50 is pretty tough.

Id give stamkos 35g 40a for 75points.

A solid year.

I have only 1 making 8 or above (Ovi making 9.5 while JT making, perhaps the best deal in the NHL, 5.5 only)
the rest are 6 and below with a few prospects or young guns making the team..
