Incorrect. His backup, Viktor Fasth, had 26 gp with a worse SV % & GAA. Scrivens had horrendous numbers due to playing on an atrocious EDM team. His numbers straight through minor leagues, and even in the NHL previously were consistently strong.

You basically valued him @ negative value.

I expect him to go either recover decently in EDM next season, or go somewhere else and do very well.

Also, you mentioned this being the 1st season he played > than 20 NHL games. That is incorrect. The season previous he played 40 games and put up a .922 SV%. The first 19 games in LA @ .931, and the next 21 games in EDM @ .916.

Definitely this time. I read it as team being so bad was due to his poor numbers, rather than vice versa.

I actually like Scrivens and like you pointed out he has been successful in the past. No goalie was going to look good in EDM last year so unfair to think he is as bad as he was last year.
