Saad is very solid...I don't think you lost as much as some say, Paul. Ladd is established and hits multiple categories. Saad can probably match Ladd offensively but he might not get to him in terms of hits and PIM. We'll see what he does in terms of the PK. Hard to judge a young player when he switches teams. I think he'll fit in well with Columbus.

Not going to lie, I considered not doing the Saad for Ladd swap myself. Had to convince myself because of stats. Ladd is what he is. Not sure how other people can say that Saad is already at his maximum output lol.

Of all trades, this seems like a strange one to yell "rape" on. There are millions of other trades where far less quality is going one way or the other. Every piece involved in this trade is a great one.

He could just as easily play with Dubi or Wennberg. Lot of talent in that Columbus forward group they could mix lines a number of different ways. Even so I don't see Saad suddenly becoming a 70 pt player like Foligno as you appear to be suggesting.
