every team in bbkl has a "christian thomas" on their team that no one would have concerns about throwing in on this deal.

I also threw out offers involving shattenkirk, weal and lander if you want to know what I was throwing out there. I did make an offer. Kezia shopped around took his choice of what he liked best and good on him. My comment was more directed at you because alot of people commenting made offers. In fact if anton says he didnt, I am sure lee would back me up on saying he was probably the only one that didnt.

im betting so. when I talked to lee he mentioned he got bombarded with offers and almost all were for couture. I know everyone i have talked to has thrown out an offer. (that comment was not meant to call you out at all, I was sort of sticking up for you actually)

if this is true, and 28 teams made offers for couture and this was the best one then good on him for taking it...

but somehow i doubt this was the best offer. just a feeling i get from reading the general chaos here.

I was able to offer him what he was asking for.
1) 2011 1st round selection
2) Top 6, upper end NHL ready forward prospect
3) Top 6 potential forward prospect (despite you bashing thomas, you should actually watch him play, best player on his team, ppg, 40goals draft season) + I a d-prospect who fell for an unknown reason... he was a complete dman this year, the #2 on a very strong WHL team.


and I had to pay to get myself that 2011 1st, frigging Mike played hard-ball, monopoly on the market.

I don't even have a problem with the deal. I was only pissed because I didn't think he'd be traded while I was gone.

i believe several teams could have and would have beaten this offer if he had taken his time. for fucks sake, shep is hanging up the noose as we speak.

ANY first round pick other than NJD would have been better. Cormier is EASILY beaten by some of the names even thrown around in this very thread, and no team that wanted couture would've have any issue throwing in something comparable to the other 2 pieces.

shiv, the last 15 trades in the bbkl that are not your own are terrible deals/huge wins in your opinion, instead of speaking in extremes you should try and temper your words a little, your opinion would be more valued.

nick in the last little while there have been some terrible trades. btw i have a litmus test. why don't people message nick about what he wants for Couture and then lets see what he asks for. I'm guessing the price will be twice as steep as what Lee was asking .

but thats not a knock on you. you negotiated a great deal for yourself. i wouldve done the same in your position.
