PIT/FLA
Re: PIT/FLA
20 games into this season sure, when both of them have had concussions this season… I'd take Lucic over Kunitz as well, but either of them with 2 scrubs on a line (McClement + Hendricks for example) will do nothing compared to what Skinner or Semin would do on that same line.

You keep evaluating by the same metric: "Which player can produce more without linemates"Nick wroteCOLON20 games into this season sure, when both of them have had concussions this season… I'd take Lucic over Kunitz as well, but either of them with 2 scrubs on a line (McClement + Hendricks for example) will do nothing compared to what Skinner or Semin would do on that same line.
Sure. Gaborik, Semin, Skinner,Wheeler, Vanek can probably produce more offence.
But that is not the only metric.
There's durability. There's the ability to play a 2-way game. The ability to grind. The ability to be more than just an offensive force (e.g. the threat of a Lucic check versus Gaborik and Semin coasting).
Which is why your argument is ridiculous.

Re: PIT/FLA
MUCH bigger group of wingers who can provide some scoring with some grind than the guys who can make plays.
Is Bergeron better than Stamkos?

Lucic and Kunitz are super rare as players (they're different from each other too, but super rare).Nick wroteCOLONMUCH bigger group of wingers who can provide some scoring with some grind than the guys who can make plays.
I bet you think Lucic vs guys like Downie and Hartnell is close after that statement?
I know in your world, this is a no-brainer. Going forward it is. Past 3 years? I think it is fucking tough.Nick wroteCOLONIs Bergeron better than Stamkos?
Toews or Stamkos? I take Toews every time.

No Nash in the top 30?Nick wroteCOLONthe top 30 wingers in the world all make offence on their own…
Guys like Ovy, Perry, Eberle, Hall,Hossa, Sharp,Pomms, Zertty, Kane, Kane, MSL, Kessel, Sharp, Ryan,Ladd, Sedin, Oshie, Perron, Jagr, Wheeler, Parise, JvR, Lupul, Vanek, Alfie, Iggy, Skinner, Semin, Callahan, Gaborik, Marleau, Landy, RoR*, Loui, --> who in that list is he a better winger than? He's somewhere in the next tier, with Chris Stewart, Jakob Voracek, Doan, Lucic, Moulson, Glencorss, Steen**, Michalek, Ryder, (big group tired of naming wingers).
Re: PIT/FLA
previously mentioned, but of course he is, top 5 IMO.
Re: PIT/FLA
Ovy, Kovy, Nash, Perry, Parise -> no particular order.

Re: PIT/FLA
I completely disagree with this. There is a reason Lucic is so highly regarded in real life, there are like one or two players who play that way in the entire NHL!Nick wroteCOLONMUCH bigger group of wingers who can provide some scoring with some grind than the guys who can make plays.
