technically for 24hours, recalled next morning, and with a handshake from MacTavish that he's an Oiler now and up for good, time to buy a place, etc.

Arco started so hot, as sort of vanished since Gagner's return

but he has looked solid!

Healthy scratch their best possession (or what's called possession) player: http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2013/1 ... thats-how/ perhaps part of why the Oilers suck…

Now, he's small, so IMO there's a chance he'll be a scratch versus big physical teams like SJS, CBJ, LAK, STL -> but he didn't fluke into the #2 scoring rookie and #3 spot on their team….

Not going to lie, I was in the mental process of offering McGinn + Moss for this same pair, purely a cap deal, but couldn't wrap my head around the value loss.

They going to use him as a 4C or a bottom 6 winger?

Risky acquisitions IMO with Arcobello being 25 his upside is limited and a 28 year old Santorelli has shown flashes of offence with Florida in the past and I'd expect he regresses back to the guy who had 15 points in 94 games before joining the Canucks as a player no other team seemed to want.

Your argument on Arco is fair but not Santorelli. He has been brilliant for the Canucks.

Small sample size

In my eyes you usually win your trades pretty handily, still a chance you come out ahead here especially if Santorelli keeps it up, just more risk than other deals you pull off.
